Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Quantity Surveyor - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Job Purpose:
Quantity Surveyor in support of the MODON Technical Group (Category B)
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• This position provides day-to-day QS functions within the Technical Group.
• Provides Program wide support. Must be familiar with and have working knowledge of QS systems and methodology.
•
Reviews tender documents, performs constructability reviews, advises on
Bills of Quantity, responsible for control estimate prior to tender.
• Performs quantity take-offs.
•
Conducts value analysis of design and participates in design
development reviews. Reviews and advises on structure and content of
contract drawings and specifications. Uses and support existing cost
database.
Basic Qualifications
Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:
• Relevant degree and professional certification as a Quantity Survey required
•
Minimum 15 years’ previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor for
complex projects, ideally in the Middle East region and/or KSA
• Large scale civil or infrastructure projects experience is preferred (roads, earthworks).
• Ability to speak and read Arabic especially beneficial, but not required. Expertise in Post-contract work is ideal.
• Must have thorough knowledge of cost estimating practices, calculation methods/software, standards and procedures
• Excellent communication and report writing skills, and good presentation skills in English.
• Written and spoken Arabic skills are beneficial but not essential.
